BABAMNA’s International Conference on March 15, 2026, highlighted the role of women in the Bassa Bati Mpoo community of Cameroon. Coinciding with Women’s Day, the event addressed women’s evolving contributions and current challenges, particularly in the diaspora. Panelists were Chantal Ipouk (Professor, Anthropologist, traditional leader), Jinette Nyobe Issi (Artist, writer, traditional leader), and Valerie Wehiong Batta (Educator, village notable).
