Giving back to the community - Bigond Bi Bassa Bati Mpoo is leading the way and we are all proud of them at BABAMNA
Bigond Bi Bassa Bati Mpoo is a founding member of BABAMNA. It is an association that promotes solidarity links between the daughters of Bassa Bati Mpoo people of Cameroon living in North America (USA & Canada), and supports underserved communities in Cameroon. One of their hallmark actions is to organize each year a humanitarian trip to Cameroon to support an underserved community. In May 2023 their target was the Youpwe Elementary school.
This humanitarian mission was carried out in partnership with the Mahola Health Foundation of Dr. Mbouck Mathilde an MD and cardiologist with practices in London (UK) and Douala (Cameroon).
The Youpwe elementary school has about 300 students. Most of them are from underserved communities.
The humanitarian mission’s goal was to give school supplies (books, notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, …) to students for the 2023/2024 school year.
Volunteers of the Mahola foundation and Bigond Bassa Bati Mpoo traveled from France, UK and USA. Bigond Bi Bassa Bati Mpoo delegation was led by Mrs. Ngo Nyobe Marie Michele.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Governor of the Littoral province, under the sponsorship of the ministry of education, the Lions clubs of Douala and Dangote Cement group.
All congratulated Bigond Bi Bass Bati on their unyielding commitment to giving back to the community in Cameroon.
Everybody looks forward to the 2024 humanitarian mission. Thanks Bigond Bi Bassa Bati Mpoo for leading the way.
